Learn about the competitionThe International Brain Bee (IBB) is a neuroscience competition for high school students around the world. The aim of the Brain Bee is to motivate students to learn more about the brain and to inspire them to pursue careers in neuroscience.
About Brain BeeStudents are tested on topics including brain anatomy, neural pathways, neurological disorders, and cutting-edge neuroscience research. Winners of each Local Brain Bee advance to the National Championship, and national winners compete at the International Brain Bee World Championship.
Competition detailsThe International Brain Bee has grown to include participants from over 50 countries. The competition fosters collaboration and communication between students, educators, and scientists from around the world.
International Brain BeeRegistration for the first-ever Belgian Brain Bee Championship is now open. Secondary school students across Belgium are invited to participate in this free neuroscience competition on 9 September 2026.
